USS Glennon (DD-620) with stern damage, Normandy, 8 June 1944

USS Glennon (DD-620) is seen on the right of this picture, after her stern was blown off by a mine off Normandy on 8 June 1944. She is being aided by a group of warships that include the Rich (DD-695). Despite all the efforts to save her the Glennon sank on 10 June, after being hit by German coastal guns on the previous day.
